We’re Hiring: Senior PHP Backend Developer (Symfony) – Hotel & Camp Management Platform

About Us

At swen, our goal is to create frictionless hospitality experience for hotels, campsites and their guests.

That’s why we’re building a robust and user focused Property Management System (PMS) with related services like Booking Engine, Channel Manager, Online Check-in, Housekeeping etc. Our platform is integral for hospitality providers in making daily operations smoother and more efficient.

What You’ll Work On

You’ll be part of a focused team building and maintaining backend services in PHP 8.x using the Symfony framework. The system handles complex business logic and integrations that require scalable, maintainable solutions.

What We’re Looking For

Solid experience in backend development
Strong understanding of relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL
Proactive, user- and detail- oriented, and capable of working independently
Willingness to collaborate with frontend, QA, and product teams
Ability to understand and extend existing codebases without unnecessary overengineering
Comfortable writing unit tests and working in collaborative development environments (PHPUnit, Git)

Nice to Have

Experience applying Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles in real-world applications
Experience contributing to PMS platforms or other systems with complex backend workflows
Experience working with Symfony beyond standard use
Familiarity with AWS services and deployment pipelines
Exposure to Google BigQuery and Looker Studio for data reporting and analysis
Experience working with Docker and Redis
